Summary:

Our in-state media producers are central to the campaign’s digital team. They ensure that Bernie's grassroots campaign is truly a platform “for the people, by the people” through powerful, insightful coverage of the issues confronting everyday Americans, and the bold, progressive solutions being offered.

Essential Duties:

  • Assist executive director, comms director, or technical director in producing and running live events that are streamed as necessary.
  • Plan and execute tech rehearsals with live event guests
  • Own the production and editorial process from start to finish to deliver content and concepts that inspire progressive voter engagement
  • Schedule additional production resources internally with campaign headquarters
  • Coordinate or create timelines for projects and interviews via Zoom if needed
  • Be willing and able to wear multiple hats: producer, camera operator, editor
  • Edit and deliver short video content based on news or events about the principal

Qualifications:

  • At least 2-3 years of video/media production experience
  • Previous documentary film or print/digital journalism experience a huge plus
  • A metabolism for trusted, local news sources and a strong familiarity with current national news and political events surrounding the 2020 presidential race
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, especially Premiere and Photoshop, as measured by demo reel and/or examples of work. Knowledge of After Effects is a plus.
  • Proficiency working with video production equipment and a polished, “best-practices” approach to the filming process
  • Working knowledge of project management software such as Monday or Trello, or the willingness to learn and utilize them on the job
  • Ability to work independently and within highly flexible timeframes
  • Has a strong commitment to advancing a progressive agenda
  • Able to thrive in high-pressure situations, often remotely from leadership

Salary

Starting $65,000-$70,000
