TAKE ACTION: WORKER SOLIDARITY

JOIN US TO STAND WITH WORKERS WHO ARE ORGANIZING TO PROTECT THEMSELVES DURING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC!

We stand with National Nurses United workers:

We stand with nurses and healthcare workers and demand that Congress does everything in their power to ensure they are protected from COVID-19, because all of our lives depend on it.

During this crisis, nurses and healthcare workers across the country have reported a lack of proper staffing, personal protective equipment (PPE), safety education, and even isolation rooms for COVID-19 patients. This is unacceptable. We must protect the health of workers who are called on to protect us. We stand with National Nurses United in demanding proper safety measures and equipment for nurses.

Please sign this petition, then send it to healthcare workers who you personally know.

We stand with Walmart workers to demand:

  1. Prevention & safety: Provide gloves, masks, hand sanitizer, and other protective gear to all employees who interact with customers, vendors, and suppliers.
  2. Paid leave: Provide adequate paid sick days, paid family leave, and comprehensive health coverage that they can afford.
  3. Hazard pay: Double the regular pay for employees who decide to come to work during this health pandemic.

Please sign this petition, then send it to any Walmart workers who you personally know.

We stand with Amazon workers to demand:

  1. Paid sick leave for ALL workers, regardless of coronavirus diagnosis.
  2. 1.5x hazard pay during the crisis, as workers are taking increased risk in coming to workplaces.
  3. Childcare pay and subsidies because of school closures.
  4. Stop enforcing rate-based quotas and punishing workers during times of increased demand.
  5. Immediately close down workplaces that have employees who test positive for coronavirus
  6. Provide full pay for 2 weeks and for testing for all workers at that facility to self-isolate.

Amazon, which paid $0 in federal taxes last year, and whose CEO is the wealthiest person in the world, has tens of thousands of workers in fulfillment centers all across the country, working at a breakneck pace to fill and ship orders.

Despite the advice from public health officials during the coronavirus pandemic, reports indicate that workers are still forced to stand together in close quarters; there are not enough disinfectant wipes or hand sanitizer in warehouses; and there is not extra cleaning of the warehouses.

Please sign this petition to stand in solidarity with Amazon workers. If you are an Amazon worker, sign this petition then send it to any Amazon workers you personally know.

We stand with Sprouts workers to demand:

  1. Hazard pay of $3 per hour for all workers
  2. Paid sick leave of 14 days for all workers
  3. Personal protective equipment, gloves, sneeze guards, hand sanitizer, and disinfectants to clean and disinfect workstations for all departments and limit the number of customers in the store
  4. Establish a Sprouts Safety Committee with one representative from each department to meet with management every 48 hours for one hour to ensure the health and safety of all Sprouts workers.

Please sign this petition, then send it to any Sprouts workers who you personally know.
